Their friendship blossoms as they embark on adventures, including a visit to the boastful and reckless Mr. Toad. Toad's obsession with motorcars leads him into trouble, resulting in his imprisonment and the takeover of his home, Toad Hall, by the nefarious weasels. His friends rally to save him and restore peace to the countryside.
