Pippa Cleary is a talented screen and musical theatre composer, known for her ability to craft compelling scores that enhance both visual and theatrical storytelling.  As a musical theatre composer, Pippa’s experience in writing for the stage seamlessly translates to her screen work, with a flair for melody and character-driven themes. Her ability to blend the worlds of screen and musical theatre has made her a sought-after composer in both industries.

  • Pippa has recently expanded her work more into screen composition, making significant strides in the industry. Alongside acclaimed American screenwriter Philip LaZebnik (Pocahontas, Prince of Egypt, Mulan), Pippa Cleary is currently writing songs for a new animated movie musical Journey to The Christmas Star with Storm films in Norway. Pippa Cleary's career as a musical theatre composer and original songwriter for screen is now impressively diverse.

    In 2024 Pippa wrote the catchy song “Bauble Trouble” for an animated Christmas movie created by the Polish toy company Trefl, which was a big hit when it came out on the big screen across Europe! Pippa’s work as a screen songwriter could also be seen on Channel 4 in 2022, she cowrote a song for ‘Prince Andrew The Musical’ called Obey with rising star comedian, Munya Chawawa. In the same year, Pippa was also commissioned to do some more screen composition by Zanadoo and Munk Studios for BBC Teach. This on screen production of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ was an hour-long, fun musical version of the Shakespeare play for key stage two and three students, with eight catchy songs to learn and perform. For the 2023 Olivier Awards which was streamed on ITV, as a musical theatre composer Pippa wrote the first ever original opening number, ‘The West End Stage’ which was performed by Hannah Waddingham at the Royal Albert Hall.
