A key creative force behind the Treasure Island Musical is composer and lyricist Pippa Cleary. Known for her dynamic musical storytelling, Cleary has written the music and lyrics that bring this pirate adventure vividly to life on stage.
Cleary is an award-winning British musical theatre composer whose work spans theatre, television and film. She is the only British female composer to have had three musicals produced in the West End, including My Son’s A Queer (But What Can You Do?), The Great British Bake Off Musical, and The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole Aged 13¾ The Musical.
Her collaboration with Jake Brunger has produced a number of celebrated musicals, and their Treasure Island Musical showcases their talent for creating catchy, engaging songs that resonate with audiences. The score ranges from rousing pirate anthems to heartfelt ballads, giving the story emotional depth as well as high-energy entertainment.
