"The Feelings" is an animated musical advert produced by Jelly London in collaboration with McCann Health London and Niceshit, released during Mental Health Awareness Week in May 2022. The film features a cast of characters representing various emotions experienced by frontline healthcare workers, such as 'Power Less', 'Rising Dread', and 'Red Rage'. Its purpose is to highlight the mental health challenges faced by these professionals especially during covid-19.
The music and lyrics for “The Feelings” were composed by the incredibly talented Pippa Cleary and Kieran Merrick. Their collaboration resulted in a powerful and emotive score that plays a crucial role in amplifying the film’s emotional narrative. With a delicate balance of haunting melodies and evocative lyrics, Cleary and Merrick’s composition deepens the portrayal of the mental health struggles faced by frontline healthcare workers. The music heightens the emotional weight of each character's journey, from feelings of exhaustion and powerlessness to moments of hope and strength.
The Jelly London Advert received critical acclaim, earning multiple awards including two Bronzes at the Creative Circle UK, a Silver at Eurobest, and three Golds at the PM Awards. These accolades underscore the film's success in raising awareness about the mental health challenges faced by frontline workers.
